I am a Vancouver based creative consultant & designer who values design’s immense potential to help improve the human condition and the global environment. I have a passion and responsibility to apply my skills and abilities to more holistic ideas. My current practice includes creative strategy and consulting. Services include brand identity development, web design, marketing collateral, photography and other modes of visual communication.
I am a verb. Thinking, designing, creating, are the main verbs that define who I am as a designer with 15 years of experience. I am also quite the juggler, and this is not in the clown in the circus sense, but how I thrive in an fast pace working environment, juggling multiple projects, tasks and ideas, while making sure that at the end of the day, I deliver outstanding final products to my clients on time and on budget.
I am ambitious to apply my analytical and strategic thinking towards the betterment of creative, environmental and local economies. Ideal clients initiatives are aligned with the best practices for greener printing and other sustainability initiatives.
I design to educate, nourish and engage my community into a more sustainable way of operating in their life. I design to make an impact on people’s lives, and to inspire them to take leading roles in their business, through their products, so they can take leading roles in their personal lives. I design to create harmony amongst humans and nature, textures and colours, mind and heart, and to create balance between what is seen and what is felt.
There are efforts towards creating a standard for measuring impact. Re-nourish and the Society of Graphic Designers of Canada, has recently developed a Sustainable Design Auditing Project (SDAP), a public process to develop metrics for measuring the environmental, social and economic impacts of the graphic design supply chain.
